Our company is looking for a Warehouse Team Leader to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Effective and efficient organisation and clear direction to operational staff on shift of day-to-day tasks within the warehouse;
- Manage, develop, and motivate direct reporting staff;
- To ensure good communication is given either verbally or written to all members of staff;
- Colleague engagement is at the forefront of the business; thus you will be expected to promote a healthy environment;
- To carry out any similar duties as required by the Operations Manager
- Joint responsibility for continuous improvement within the warehouse and to promote a clean as you go mentality
- Manage and control the yard area for deliveries and collections,
- Carry out plans set out by the business to compete all activities while meeting warehouse targets;
- Escalating operational issues as they happen for a quick resolution.
- Responsibility for understanding the days’ work load requirements for defined area;
- Conduct staff appraisals and set KPI’s;
- Ensure the delivery and dispatching of goods are correct and comply to the H&S policy.
- Advise of stock shortages/damages in a timely manner.
- Proven leadership skills;
- Strong background of knowledge in warehousing and logistics;
- Customer Service;
- Experience working in a despatch environment and movement of stock;
- Ability to work as part of a team and individually;
- Understanding of warehouse practises e.g. picking, loading and H&S
- Management/Supervisory experience in a similar environment;
- PC Literate; Excel, Word
- In date Counterbalance license;
- At least 3-5 Years’ Experience within a fast paced warehouse environment
