Position: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Mullingar (across Midlands)

Salary: 70K -90 K DOE

Our client, a leading Construction company, are now looking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor for projects from Mullingar down to Dublin and Kildare-all across Midlands.

Main Responsibilities:

  • You will work closely and report to the management team.
  • Compiling tender documentation for sub procurement of sub-contractors and suppliers including completing remeasures of each element.
  • Complete analysis of subcontract tender returns on excel.
  • Procurement of sub-contractors and preparation of sub-contractor order documentation.
  • Assessing and certification of sub-contractor interim payments.
  • Preparation of Interim valuations and final account.
  • Managing and valuing variations.
  • Production of pre-contract take off.
  • Tracking design changes as a project evolves.
  • Production of monthly Cost value Reconciliation on contracts.
  • Establish, maintain, and enhance effective working relationships with subcontractors, site staff and client.
  • Attend site meetings as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Relevant Third level Degree.
  • Minimum 3+ years' experience working with a Main Contractor in Ireland.
  • Experience working with Government contracts will be preferred.
  • Ready to travel across Midlands as it will be 50/50 being in office and travelling.
  • Full clean Irish driving license is required.
  • Keen eye for QS matters with a strong interest in career progression.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to present findings.
  • Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • IT skills- knowledge of Microsoft software and cubit an advantage.
  • Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with others.
  • Previous experience in the industry would be an advantage.
