Job Title: Financial Accounts Assistant
Reports to: Finance Manager
Job Description:
The role of Accounts Assistant is to ensure accounts receivable are recorded and processed through a structured and well-kept system. This role will report directly into the Finance Manager.
The key responsibilities, inclusive but not limited to:
- Daily Banking recording.
- Cashflow reporting and reconciliation.
- Credit control management.
- Complete Bank reconciliations.
- Petty cash management and reconciliation.
- Providing accounts information to internal departments.
- Reconciling intercompany loan balances.
- Generating reports at month end.
- Assisting with Management at month end procedures.
- Submitting ROS monthly returns incl. PAYE, VAT returns, RCT, Interstats and Vies.
- Covering payroll when needed (covering annual leave)
- Prepare for year-end Audit procedure.
- Flexibility and annual leave cover for accounts payable as required.
Person Specification
Education, Training & Experience
- Qualified accounting technician or equivalent.
- 5 years experience in a similar accounting role.
- Experience in the construction industry and advantage.
- Knowledge of ISO9001:2015 beneficial.
- PC literate with competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel) Outlook.
- Knowledge of Sage 50.
- Good typing skills.
