Position: Accountant (Construction)
Location: Dublin
Salary: Negotiable DOE

Our client an Engineering company based in Dublin is seeking a fully or part qualified accountant to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts for three companies within the group to include analysis and commentary
• Monitoring projects and service calls profitability on a continuous basis
• Monitoring work-in progress on a monthly basis
• Processing month end accruals and prepayments
• Processing inter-company transactions and reconciling at each month-end
• Maintaining the fixed asset register
• Preparation of VAT, RCT and CSO Returns
• Working as part of a team to ensure debtors and creditors ledgers are maintained to the highest standards to include monthly reconciliations
• Working to ensure strict systems controls are maintained and improved upon on a continuous basis as the business expands
• Assistance with the budgeting process for each company within the group
• Preparation of year end accounts file
• Adhoc requirements arising within a busy accounts department

Requirements:

• Qualified, part-qualified accountant or accounting technician with a minimum of ten year's experience
• Must have experience working in the accounts department of a construction and/or service company
• Dedicated and self-motivated individual
• Ability to work to strict reporting deadlines
• Ability to work within the senior management team and to manage more junior members of the accounts team
