Position: Shop Fitter/ Joiner

Location: Dublin

Salary: DOE

Our client is currently looking for an experienced Shop Fitter/ Joiner with a proven track record to join a growing fitout contractor.

To work with our specialised workshop team and off site project team on a variety of installation projects through to completion in line with the company standards and client requirements.


  • Install fittings and storage units in line with requirements of each project
  • Fit out, re-fit or renovate client sites to include but not limited to offices, restaurants, cafés and retail outlets
  • Carry out measurements and calculations
  • Read and interpret plans and specifications
  • To ensure correct and safe use of hand tools, power tools and factory machines
  • Ensure the highest standard of assembly is carried out at all times
  • Ensure that you are working in line with current health and safety standards
  • Take full responsibility for all health and safety issues for which he/she is responsible
  • Any other duties that may be assigned by your Line Manager
  • Person Specification Qualifications
  • Safe Pass is advantageous
  • Shop fitting Trade experience or qualification is essential
  • Full driving licence is essential

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of technical specifications of products and installations
  • Fluency in English is essential
  • Experience of using hand tools
  • Experience of using power tools ? Ability to read CAD drawings is essential
  • Must be flexible as there will be a requirement for overtime on occasion or night shift
  • Strong knowledge of technical specifications of joinery and cabinet making products
  • Must possess a dynamic approach to achieving continuous improvement
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in a similar role is essential
  • Fluency in English is essential
  • Experience of using hand tools, power tools
  • Ability to read cad drawings and identify all components required for assembly
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines in a busy environment
  • Flexible approach to duties undertaken
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Strong demeanour as role can place physical demands and heavy lifting may be involved
  • Must be self-motivated and able to motivate others
  • Good time keeping and reliable
  • Ability to learn quickly in a busy fast paced environment
  • Must be a team player
