At Elk Recruitment, we are looking for a Health & Safety Manager to work for our client based in Dublin/Leinster area. This is a great opportunity for someone to work with a leading Subcontractor in the Construction Industry and make an impact in an innovative and growing organisation. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and overseeing health and safety policies and procedures that align with current regulations and best practices.

Your new role includes:
- Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of the workplace
- Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective measures
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to promote safety awareness
- Investigate incidents and accidents to determine causes and preventive measures
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with management and employees to foster a culture of safety
Experience you need:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field
- Certification in health and safety (e.g. NEBOSH, OSHA) is preferred
- Ideally 5 – 7 years of experience within the Irish market
- Full clean Irish driving licence
- Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
