Job Overview
Our client is seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join their team at a busy electrical wholesaler. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient handling, storage, and dispatch of electrical products, supporting both trade and commercial customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, check, and store incoming electrical goods and materials
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Load and unload deliveries safely using appropriate equipment
- Maintain accurate stock records and assist with regular stock counts
- Ensure all products are stored correctly and safely, following company procedures
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and compliant with health & safety regulations
- Assist with returns and damaged goods processing
- Work closely with sales and customer service teams to meet customer requirements
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks and forklifts (if licensed)
- Previous warehouse experience preferred (ideally within electrical, construction, or trade supplies)
- Good understanding of stock control and inventory systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic IT skills for stock systems and order processing
- Forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
- Reliable and punctual
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
- Willingness to learn and develop product knowledge
