Position: Temporary Works Engineer

Location: Dublin

Salary: Neg DOE

Temporary Works Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:

  • To convert complex enquiries from customers and the Sales Team into drawings and quotations for the supply of the clients equipment on a hire and sale basis
  • To work under the control, instruction and guidance of the Engineering Manager and other senior staff and in conjunction with the Sales Team
  • To support orders received from customers through production of final drawings, cost estimates, progress paperwork, and agreement of variations, all through the Sales Team and as required for each project
  • To carry out work in accordance with ISO Procedures and the clients Quality Assurance Procedures
  • To have a proactive responsibility for the clients Health and Safety issues.
  • To be a supportive and collaborative member of the Engineering Team
  • To provide a service to customers and the Sales Team by resolving technical queries of a reasonably complex nature
  • To seek assistance from other Engineering Staff in calculations and applications when required
  • To provide guidance/reviewing/checking in the clients calculations and applications to others where appropriately required
  • To have an input to new product design by submitting ideas for new products
  • To set an example to other members of staff in the level of professionalism and performance expected
  • To aspire to build a knowledge and skill level for the abilities required of a Project Engineer

Temporary Works Engineer Requirements:

  • BEng in civil / structural engineering
  • 3+ years' experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of engineering discipline and Standards relating to temporary works engineering field
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues and build effective working relationships
  • Motivation and willingness to continually develop skillset as part of your commitment to ongoing professional self-improvement including CPD
