Our client is a leading specialist hire company with depots nationwide. An opportunity has now arisen in our Dublin depot for an experienced Electrician .
The successful candidate will report to the depot manager and will be responsible for the repair, maintenance and refurbishment of our electric pump fleet, control panel and associated electrical equipment. The position involves working on a variety of machines. We are looking for a person to join an ambitious company that regards good service engineers as key to the success of the business.
Qualifications & Experience.
Relevant electrical qualification
Knowledge of 3 phase motors, control panels, variable speed drives and instruments.
Knowledge of set-up configuration of VSDs, DOL and Star Delta starters
Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical plant operations and ability to carry out routine preventative and reactive maintenance.
Ability to identify electrical/mechanical faults, trace issues, repair and test on completion.
Good electrical control systems knowledge and electrical fault finding in general.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Planned Inspections & Maintenance: Conduct effective planned inspections, fault finding, and maintenance of pumping & electrical equipment
- Ownership & Initiative: Take an active role and ownership of your responsibilities.
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrate strong skills in the service and repair of water pumping and associated equipment (prior experience with pumps is an advantage but not a requirement).
- Reporting: Complete repair, service, and technical reports accurately and timely.
