Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Planner to develop, manage, and monitor project schedules across multiple construction projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget by providing accurate planning, progress tracking, and delay analysis support.
This position requires strong technical planning expertise, construction knowledge, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed project schedules using industry-standard planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Create baseline programmes, resource-loaded schedules, and cash flow forecasts.
- Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly.
- Identify critical path activities and potential delays; propose mitigation strategies.
- Conduct delay analysis and prepare extension of time (EOT) documentation where required.
- Produce weekly and monthly planning reports for senior management and clients.
- Support tender planning, including preparation of tender programmes and methodology statements.
- Collaborate with site teams to ensure accurate progress reporting and sequencing.
- Participate in project meetings and provide planning insights and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with contractual planning requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–8+ years of planning experience within the construction industry.
- Proven experience working on large-scale construction projects (commercial, residential, infrastructure, or industrial).
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
- Solid understanding of construction sequencing, methodologies, and resource planning.
- Experience with delay analysis techniques (e.g., impacted as-planned, time impact analysis).
- Knowledge of NEC, FIDIC, JCT, or other standard construction contracts (preferred).
