Position: IT Network Engineer

Location: Wicklow

Salary: DOE

The Company:

Our client, who are a manufacturer of a range of specialist hygienic door sets, automation systems and window systems installation throughout Ireland, UK, Europe, US and SE Asia. Their dedicated in-house teams deliver complex, bespoke door packages from initial design, through specification and manufacturing through to installation and final commissioning.

The Role:

The IT Network Engineer will be responsible for managing all software and hardware systems within the business. They will be responsible for making sure these systems all align with each other and work towards making flow of information more efficient. They will be responsible for maintaining current hardware, whilst striving to develop and ensure hardware is fully capable of the business' demands.

Responsibilities:

* Managing all existing hardware and software within the group.

* Improving efficiencies of the current pathway of information between all of the different current software packages.

* Configure and manage various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS).

* Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.

* Monitor system resource utilisation, trending, and capacity planning.

* Liaise with suppliers and other IT personnel for problem resolution.

* Analysing existing infrastructure and performing IT system enhancements.

* Writing customized programs and scripts, as well as configuring ERP applications.

* Performing diagnostic tests and resolving issues to optimise performance.

* Keeping abreast of the latest ERP upgrades and offerings.

* Keeping updated on IT Developments and Proposals which would be beneficial to company

Requirements:

* Experience of dealing with Multiple Software's within an organisation.

* Proven hands-on IT network engineering experience.

* Deep understanding of networking protocols.

* Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model.

* Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools.

* Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or similar preferred.

* In-depth knowledge of ERP development tools, coding languages, and business processes.

* Great organisational and time management skills.

* Exceptional interpersonal, collaboration, and communication abilities.

* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

* At least 2 years' experience as an ERP specialist in a related industry, would be beneficial.

* A background in business administration, project management, or a related field will be advantageous.
