At Elk Recruitment, we are looking for a driven Food Processing Maintenance Technician to join our client’s growing team based near Athenry. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Food Processing Maintenance Technician to make a real impact in an innovative and growing organization.

- Conducting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on filleting lines, conveyors, freezing and transfer systems.
- Troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults and minimising production downtime through rapid response to breakdowns.
- Monitoring and maintaining refrigeration, compressed air, water, and wastewater treatment systems and servicing wastewater treatment plant.
- Carrying out general site maintenance: lighting, plumbing, doors, drainage, and building fabric.
- Participating in an on-call rota to respond to urgent breakdowns outside normal working hours.
- Providing weekend support for upgrades, projects, and maintenance tasks that cannot be completed during production runs.
- Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and spare parts usage logs.
Experience you need:
- Recognized qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Multi-Skilled Engineering.
- 2–3 years’ experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or food processing environment.
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment plant operation and compliance requirements (advantage).
- Strong understanding of refrigeration, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
