Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the Senior Management and the Finance team in the overall management of domestic and international finance function.
- Manage and maintenance of appropriate financial and internal controls procedures across the group to ensure the integrity of accounting systems.
- Manage taxation & financial compliance for domestic and international construction sites throughout Europe (Holland, Belgium, Finland, Germany, Sweden and new locations if required) including localised payroll obligations, Employment rules and regulations, taxation, Inter Community vat rules, permits etc.
- Ensure all statutory compliance for each legal entity is complied with both in Ireland and across international sites.
- Manage and develop the roles and responsibilities of the Finance Team in the performance of their duties.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and co-ordinate year-end audits.
- Working Capital Management – Management of the invoicing, collections and payment cycles including Cash Flow projections, treasury and Foreign Exchange transactions
- Liaise with the company’s external banks, auditors, revenue commissioners, insurance and government agencies
- Knowledge of applicable VAT rates, RCT, Intrastat and Vies in a national & International setting to advise appropriate interpretation.
- Review financial and operational information and make practical business recommendations.
- Represent the company to external partners in dealing with bankers, auditors, taxation, insurance and government agencies.
- Negotiate and manage the annual renewal of the Company insurance requirements.
