Our Client,  a specialist company established in 2007, delivering high-quality airtightness installations and mechanical ventilation systems across the Leinster region. As they continue to expand, we're looking for an experienced Ventilation Service Tecnician  (CMEV & MVHR) to join their professional and friendly team. This role involves servicing, maintaining, fault-finding, and commissioning mechanical ventilation systems in domestic and light commercial properties across Ireland.

Responsibilities
 
  • Carry out servicing, maintenance, and inspection of CMEV (Central Mechanical Extract Ventilation) and MVHR (Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery) systems in domestic and light commercial properties.
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance in line with manufacturer recommendations, industry standards, and company procedures.
  • Conduct system fault‑finding and diagnostics, identifying performance issues and carrying out corrective works where required.
  • Clean, adjust, and replace system components, including filters, fans, ducts, grilles, valves, and controls, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Commission CMEV and MVHR systems following service or installation, including:
    • Airflow measurement and balancing
    • System performance checks
    • Verification of controls and settings
    • Complete and issue all required service reports, commissioning sheets, and maintenance documentation accurately and on time.
    • Ensure all works comply with manufacturer guidelines, building regulations, and health & safety requirements.
Liaise professionally with customers, explaining:
  • System operation
  • Maintenance requirements
  • Any identified faults or recommended remedial works
 
  • Maintain a high standard of workmanship with a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Work efficiently in a busy, job‑based environment, managing multiple service visits and adhering to scheduled appointments.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, airflow testing equipment, and diagnostic instruments safely and competently.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn and upskill, keeping up to date with new ventilation products, controls, and best practices.
  • Display a high level of enthusiasm, reliability, and self‑motivation, with excellent timekeeping and attendance.
  • Work collaboratively with installation teams, office administration, and management when required.
  • Carry out other duties as necessary, once appropriate training and competency has been achieved.
 
 
 
Requirements
 
  • Diploma or Degree (Level 6 or higher) in Construction or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Full Irish Driving Licence.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a strong commitment to delivering high‑quality work.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently on site.
  • Well‑developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and site personnel.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage workload and priorities effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of building construction materials and building services, including airtightness and ventilation systems (or willingness to develop this knowledge).
  • Flexible and motivated, with a strong drive to complete work assignments within committed deadlines.
  • Servicing, maintenance, and inspection of CMEV (Central Mechanical Extract Ventilation) and MVHR (Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery) systems: 1 year (required)
  • Ability to manage a high volume of work accurately, even in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Experience servicing and maintaining CMEV and/or MVHR systems (or strong mechanical background with willingness to be trained)
