At Elk Recruitment, we are looking for a driven Plumbing Trade Sales Representative to join our client’s growing team based in Dublin.  This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Plumbing Salesperson to make a real impact in an innovative and growing organization.

Your new role includes:
  • Build customer relationships. You will be dealing on a day-to-day basis with plumbing contractors and installers. It is a demanding yet rewarding job where you will develop close relationships with the customer base.
  • Advise customers on solutions and ensure orders are completed accurately.
  • To increase the turnover and profit of the branch through the development of both existing and new customer accounts.
  • Identify, capture, and maximise new Sales opportunities.
  • Respond positively and effectively to customer needs.
  • Processing quotations & sales orders for customers.
  • Processing orders at the sales counter, over the phone, and responding to customers via email.
  • Prepare and progress quotations
  • Listen to customer’s questions and concerns, and provide answers or responses
Experience you need:
  • 3 years+ experience working in a wholesale environment
  • Plumbing / Plumbing Trade counter experience is a distinct advantage with a good knowledge of the typical plumbing products.
  • Energy, drive, determination & resilience. A self-starter and self-motivated able to work under own initiative but also as part of a wider team.
  • A clear focus on delivering excellent customer service - Positive, friendly face and voice that greets returning customers. You will build and manage relationships with them.
  • Professional at all times and remaining calm under pressure.
  • Punctual & excellent time management
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Confident telephone manner & team player
  • The candidate should be at ease with computerised sales order processing systems
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
