Technical Sales Rep
Our client in Dublin 12 is a leading supplier of air conditioning equipment & Smoke Ventilation Systems.
The following prerequisites would be desirable;
Technical knowledge in mechanical/ electrical / fire engineering. Previous sales experience selling technical solutions and engineering products to the construction industry. Experience in specification sales to architects and consulting engineers.
If no sales experience it could suit someone with a construction background looking to move into sales -examples would be (but not limited to) Mechanical engineer, QS, design engineer etc.
Good communication skills particularly for technical presentations. Ability to work within a contracting team environment Role involves specification and sales of the following; Smoke Ventilation Systems, Louvre Systems, Brise Soleil, Acoustic solutions, Smoke and Fire Curtains.
Value of individual projects €10k – €2m
Skills:
Ability to clearly explain technical concepts Skill in identifying customer needs and challenges Strong interpersonal skills Knowledge of sales techniques and methodologies
Working hours: 8.30-5pm (Fridays 8am-2pm)
To note Projects are priced by the estimating department so the role is to close the sale, make connections/ relationships with clients and architects participate in pre project meetings, advise clients of solutions, negotiate terms and ensure the CAD and estimating department are kept updated.
