Job Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Showroom Sales Associate to join our Garden & Decking Department. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service by offering expert advice on all garden and decking supplies, products and services. This role blends product knowledge with creativity to help customers bring their home improvement projects to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in the showroom with product selection and colour/design recommendations.
- Perform accurate advise using store equipment.
- Educate customers on proper application techniques, surface preparation, and product compatibility.
- Maintain a visually appealing and organized showroom, including displays, samples, and promotional materials.
- Process sales transactions accurately through the point-of-sale system.
- Stay current on new products, promotions, industry trends, and manufacturer specifications.
- Support inventory management by stocking shelves, labelling, and performing product rotation.
- Assist with in-store merchandise presentations, seasonal changes, and product demos.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of chemicals and equipment.
- Previous retail or showroom experience (home improvement, hardware, or garden sales preferred).
- Strong interest or experience in interior garden and home design.
- Hands-on product knowledge of garden centre equipment
