At Elk Recruitment, we are looking for a driven Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s growing team based in Rathcoole. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with experience in Commercial Management to make a real impact in an innovative and growing organization in the roofing and cladding industry.

Your new role includes:
  • Lead the commercial function for roofing projects from pre-construction handover to final account, ensuring profitability and risk are expertly managed.
  • Own the commercial lifecycle – oversee contract negotiations, variations, claims, and final accounts to ensure maximum commercial advantage for the business.
  • Forecast, monitor, and report on project costs, margins, and cashflow projections with absolute accuracy.
  • Support the tendering and procurement process, ensuring alignment with budget and delivery targets.
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with company goals, identifying opportunities for increased margin and cost efficiencies.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and legal teams while also challenging where necessary.
 
Experience you need:
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in a senior commercial role, ideally within roofing, cladding, or construction contracting environments.
  • A qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is essential.
  • Deep knowledge of construction contract law, including RIAI, Public Works, and bespoke client contracts.
  • Strong track record of contract negotiation, dispute resolution, and commercial risk management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 and commercial management tools.
  • Full clean driver’s licence required.
