Position: Sales Representative

Location: Co Waterford and the surrounding areas of South Tipp and South Kilkenny

Salary: Neg DOE

We are currently seeking a sales rep to cover Co Waterford and the surrounding areas of South Tipp and South Kilkenny. Our client is Carlow based agriculture company, who are a leading manufacturer of Minerals, Vitamins and Trace Element supplements.

The candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing a new clientele portfolio in Co. Waterford, South Tipperary, South Kilkenny and the surrounding areas, and manage current customers in those areas.
  • Delivering on previous set out sales strategies to ensure set sales targets are reached.
  • Showing a passion for mineral products and ensure high performance is attained through knowledgeable solutions for farmers problems, and follow an ethos of learning and continuous improvement.
  • Compiling daily/weekly reports on customers contacted and called to on a daily basis, to develop a database of actions undertaken in the given area and ensure all clients are regularly contacted.
  • Working closely with key customers to ensure highest levels of customer satisfaction and customer service are provided. Evaluate clientele to view where higher potential lies for growth/expansion.
  • Having a complete focus on sales and work in tandem with the accounts and logistics department to ensure smooth operations on all sales activities.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3 Years + sales experience or an Ag-Science degree.
  • Previous experience within the agri-business sector.
  • A competent understanding of teamwork with a key task being ensuring bridging the gaps between the sales, logistics and accounts departments.
  • Experience in dealing with wholesale business, buying groups, and direct to end user sales.
  • High levels of self motivation and ambition, with a proven track record within the sales sector.
  • A knowledge / interest in farming, animal health/welfare and animal nutrition.
