Role: Resident Engineer (Roadworks)

Location: Dublin North

Salary: €35k - €50k Depending on Experience

Contract: 6 Month (With Possibility of Continuation)

My client, one of the world's leading global Design, Engineering and Project Management Consultancies are currently seeking a Resident Engineer to oversee a roadworks project in Dublin North on a 6 month contract. This position comes with a real long-term employment and promotional possibility.

Working with a large portfolio of Public and Private sector Clients, our Client's work includes working for government agencies, private development progression, greenway concept and design, new roads, road and public realm improvements, road safety engineering and more.

Resident Engineer Requirement:

  • Minimum Level 8 Relevant Engineering Degree
  • 3+ Years Post Graduate Including:
  • Min 2 years on site, preferably roadworks projects with a Consultancy
  • Experience in administrating Contracts
  • Knowledge and Awareness of Health and Safety Legislation and Regulations
  • Willing to take responsibility and be comfortable working as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal English Language skills

Resident Engineer Duties:

  • Performing the duties of Resident Engineer for the roadworks site
  • Work on own initiative in Managing the site
  • Ensuring Materials and Workmanship are in accordance with the Works Requirements
  • Maintaining Site Documentation in Line with Client Requirements
  • Monitor Compliance with Contractors Health and Safety Plan
  • Maintain a detailed diary/record of works
  • Liaise with the managing head office and other staff
  • Manage Payment applications, check work measures, make claim determinations and agree final account with Contractor
  • Ensuring Works are carried out to the Employer Requirements and Statutory Requirements
