At Elk Recruitment, we are looking for a driven Project Director for our client’s based in the Dublin 22 area. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, extensive knowledge of construction processes, and a strong ability to manage multidisciplinary teams ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role demands a strategic thinker capable of aligning project objectives with business goals, effectively communicating with stakeholders, and navigating challenges with proactive problem-solving. The Project Director will be responsible for managing all aspects of construction projects, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, risk management, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards
 
Your new role includes:


  • Lead and direct all phases of construction projects from planning through completion to ensure successful delivery.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource plans to meet project goals and client expectations.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks proactively to minimize impact on project timelines and costs.
  • Oversee procurement and contract management to secure necessary materials, equipment, and services.
  • Implement quality control processes to maintain high standards and address any construction issues promptly.
  • Provide regular project status updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Mentor and develop project management staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
 
 
Experience you need:


  • Qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in construction project management with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills, capable of managing diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with project management software and construction management tools.
  • Ability to analyse complex problems, develop solutions, and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
