Position: Operations Manager - Automation/Service

Location: Dublin South

Salary: Neg DOE

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the operations team ensuring scheduling of engineers and carpenters to attend PPMs, SLAs, FDI'S and contracted works, across all of the company's market sectors is executed efficiently, delivering outstanding customer service and maximising profitability.
  • Oversee, manage & record all van stock and tool levels to ensure efficiency and quality of service
  • Liaising continually with customers before, during and after works to ensure service quality client satisfaction.
  • Manage timely data collection to improve productivity, reduce cost, eliminate errors, and deliver an excellent service
  • Implement and manage required processes to achieve profitability and KPI's across all of operational activities.
  • Ensure service & products meets standards for Quality and Customer Satisfaction
  • Achieve high staff retention levels internally & externally in order to drive team performance by maintaining an atmosphere of involvement, open communication and effective teamwork
  • Responsible for ensuring that all maintenance reports are forwarded to clients or to the estimating team if remedial works are required.
  • Ensuring that all customers are provided with risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) and any other information required for each job.
  • Effective management of interdepartmental collaboration and communication in relation to inventory/stock levels
  • Timely and effective management of department purchasing and invoicing.
  • Development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Liaise with sales to forecast and help drive revenue growth within the division.
  • Managing processes to ensure all orders are correctly added to the order bank and scheduled accordingly.
  • Management of department HR tasks, such as resource planning, sickness and absence (and arranging cover for these instances), appraisals, recruitment, and ensuring that all training and compliance is up to date across the division
  • Oversee the accurate input of data for bi- annual stock take.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience of successfully managing a busy operations department within automation
  • Ability to direct and motivate others.
  • Ability to lead through vision and values
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects, tasks and assignments while maintaining consistent high standards and sometimes working to tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems and work collaboratively
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
