Operations & Scheduling Manager
Job description:
We are a fast-growing electrical and solar PV company delivering high-quality installations across residential, commercial and farm projects. As demand continues to grow, we’re looking for a highly organised, tech-savvy Operations and Scheduling Manager to take ownership of scheduling, job flow, and day-today operational efficiency.
This is a key role at the centre of the business, ensuring our installation teams are in the right place, with the right materials, at the right time.
The Role
You will be responsible for coordinating projects from scheduling through to completion, acting as the link between our installation teams, clients, and internal operations.
You’ll bring structure to a fast-moving environment and continuously improve how we plan, communicate, and deliver work.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, schedule, and optimise daily and weekly workloads for installation teams
• Coordinate materials, site access, and time lines to ensure jobs run smoothly
• Track all jobs from booking through to completion using internal systems
• Act as a central point of contact for clients, keeping them informed and confident throughout their project
• Liaise with electricians, installers, and management to resolve issues quickly
• Monitor job progress and proactively address delays or bottlenecks
• Maintain accurate records of schedules, job status, and client communications
• Identify inefficiencies in work-flows and implement improvements
• Support the scaling of operations as the business grows
Requirements
• Experience in construction, electrical, solar, or a similar field environment
• Strong organisational and scheduling skills with attention to detail
• Confident using software systems (or able to learn quickly)
• Ability to manage multiple moving parts without losing oversight
• Proactive problem-solving mindset with a sense of ownership
• Strong communication skills (both with clients and internal teams)
Desirable / Bonus
• Experience with job management platforms (e.g. Jobber, SimPRO, ServiceM8)
• Interest in process improvement, automation, or systems design
• Familiarity with solar PV or electrical project work-flows
