We are seeking a Logistics & Operations Assistant to join our clients growing team based in Co. Carlow. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the smooth flow of goods, information, and processes. You will work closely with various departments to coordinate shipping, manage inventory, and optimise operational procedures. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to multitask efficiently, and possesses strong communication skills.
Your new role includes:
- Assist in coordinating shipments and deliveries to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment.
- Maintain and update logistics and inventory records using company software systems.
- Support the operations team in streamlining workflows and improving efficiency.
- Communicate with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to resolve any logistics issues.
- Prepare and process shipping documentation including bills of lading, invoices, and customs paperwork.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in organising warehouse operations to optimize space and accessibility.
- Assist in tracking and reporting operational performance metrics and suggest improvements.
Experience you need:
- Degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
- Prior experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or supply chain support is essential.
- Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with logistics software is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective coordination.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work efficiently under pressure.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
