Position: HR Manager (FTC Maternity Cover 12 Months)

Location: Wicklow

Salary: Neg DOE

Our client is a leading manufacturer of medical devices components and pharmaceutical packaging. Operating exclusively in the plastic injection moulding field, they boast a global client base and in-depth expertise in pharmaceutical and medtech products.

They are now looking for a Human Resources Manager to join their team in Wicklow which offers a closer alternative to commuting from Carlow, Wicklow or South Dublin into the city centre.


  • Meeting with shift Supervisors and assisting in their team management
  • Planning and issuing the weekly shift staffing sheets ensuring sufficient resources in place across all shifts
  • Managing absenteeism
  • Reviewing and monitoring labour recovery rates
  • Building relationships locally with educators and employment networks
  • Interviewing, testing and inducting candidates for roles across all departments and implementing succession planning
  • Assisting Department Managers with training and development
  • Organising and scheduling training and monitoring its effectiveness
  • Developing and implementing HR policies and practices to comply with best practice
  • Managing disciplinary actions and other staff relations issues
  • Acting as the Data Protection Officer and ensuring GDPR compliance
  • Creating a strong culture of performance management
  • Scheduling and managing the Covid 19 response team and ensuring adherence to HSA guidelines by all staff
  • Being a key member of the Operational Excellence team driving continuous improvement in the company
  • Leading the weekly Safety Meeting and driving a culture of safety first within the organisation
  • Working with IT support provider to ensure any issues IT resolved quickly
  • Building relationships locally with educators and employment networks


  • At least four years' HR management experience in a similar manufacturing environment
  • Experience in all areas of HR compliance, including confidence in employment law and the day-to-day application of this
  • A human resources qualification
  • The ability to organise and plan effectively
  • Plenty of initiative to work alone and as part of a team
