Job Title: HEAVY PLANT MECHANIC/FITTER

Location: Carlow / Kilkenny

Salary: Neg DOE

Elk are currently recruiting for a Heavy Plant Mechanic / Fitter for a quarry company in the Carlow / Kilkenny area.

Responsibilities:

• Servicing and inspecting forklift trucks, dumpers, loaders etc.
• General up keep of machinery.
• Servicing of production lines as and when required.
• Some travel to additional sites as needs arise.
• Maintaining accurate records.
• Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety requirements.
• Ensure that the workshop housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.

Requirements:

• Fully qualified mechanic or fully qualified fitter with experience as a mechanic.
• Experience in a production environment servicing production lines is desirable but not essential
• Hydraulic experience desired.
• Experience as a fitter desired.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Adept at meeting deadlines while maintaining high standards.
• Proven ability to work without supervision, using your own initiative, or within a team.
