Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct weekly health and safety audits at the companies HQ (offices and production area).
- Identify, record and escalate safety issues; track corrective actions to ensure they are resolved by the assigned closure dates.
- Review subcontractor Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) in collaboration with the Health and Safety Supervisor.
- Support site teams in completing and maintaining accurate safety documentation.
- Coordinate the installation of health and safety signage and construction safety notices on new and existing project sites.
- Compile and deliver Toolbox Talks, ensuring timely delivery as per the weekly schedule.
- Monitor and ensure that all production and site lifting equipment is inspected weekly and records maintained of GA1, GA2.
- Oversee Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) for site electrical tools and ensure compliance records are up to date.
- Deliver in person and issue Boxcore online health and safety inductions for personnel.
- Become proficient in Autodesk Construction Cloud system (training will be provided) and support staff in its use, particularly for health and safety form management and documentation.
- Become proficient in Boxcore software and approval of company workers and subcontractors on this system.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of Abnormal Load Permit applications as required.
- Maintain the PPE store, ensuring appropriate stock levels are available at all times and placing orders as required.
- Oversee the maintenance of the company vehicle fleet, including tracking and scheduling tax renewals, DOE/NCT testing, servicing, and other compliance requirements.
- Ensuring that company staff have provided the required information to drive a company vehicle or claim expenses for driving their own vehicle for work tasks.
- Review the vehicle daily check application to ensure that company drivers have completed these checks at the beginning of each working day.
Experience you need:
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures applicable to multi-site operations.
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities.
- Positive, proactive attitude and a strong sense of accountability.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint.
Education:
- A recognised Health and Safety qualification.
- Safe Pass.
