Responsibilities
- Operate forklift equipment safely and efficiently to move, stack, and organize goods within the warehouse or facility.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, shipping containers, and storage racks in accordance with safety standards.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on the forklift to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Assist in inventory management by accurately tracking the movement and storage of materials.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to support smooth operational flow.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or incidents promptly to supervisors.
Requirements
- Valid forklift license
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse, logistics, or supply chain setting.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, standing for extended periods, and manoeuvring in tight spaces.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and material handling accuracy.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or overtime.
