Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fire Alarm Technician/Engineer to join our clients dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and reliability of fire alarm systems in commercial and residential settings.
This position demands a thorough understanding of fire alarm design, installation, maintenance, and inspection, ensuring compliance with regulations. The Fire Alarm Technician/Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting issues, conducting tests, and providing expert recommendations for system upgrades or changes. This role will require strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
The ideal candidate should exhibit excellent communication skills, as they will often interact with clients, contractors, and project managers.
Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems and related equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections and testing of fire alarm systems to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in fire alarm and detection systems.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for system installations, inspections, and repairs.
  • Collaborate with clients to assess their fire alarm needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Ensure all services conform to applicable codes and regulations.
  • Provide training and guidance for clients and staff on fire alarm system operations and safety procedures.
Requirements
  • Relevant certifications preferred
  • Proven experience as a fire alarm technician or engineer, with a strong understanding of fire safety regulations.
  • Familiarity with various fire alarm systems, including conventional and addressable systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel to different job sites as needed.
