Your new role includes:
- Develop detailed and accurate roofing designs based on project specifications and client requirements.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure cohesive and feasible roofing solutions.
- Select appropriate roofing materials and systems considering durability, cost, and environmental impact.
- Prepare technical drawings, schematics, and 3D models using CAD or specialized design software.
- Conduct site assessments to gather data and verify design feasibility and compliance with regulations.
- Review and revise designs in response to client feedback and regulatory changes.
- Ensure all roofing designs adhere to safety standards, local building codes, and industry best practices.
- Support project management by providing design documentation and assisting in cost estimation.
Experience you need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in roofing design or a closely related area within construction or architectural design.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools for creating technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of roofing materials, systems, and structural principles.
- Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards concerning roofing installations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy in design work.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
