At Elk Recruitment, we are looking for a driven Architectural Technologist to join our client’s growing team based in Cork. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Architectural Technologist to make a real impact in an innovative and growing organization.
 
 
Key Competencies:
  • Technical design, documentation and detailing excellence.
  • Construction knowledge, regulatory compliance and building performance.
  • BIM and digital design tool proficiency.
  • Coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Quality assurance and buildability understanding.
 
Qualifications/Skills :
  • Bachelor or higher degree of Architectural Technology or industry related equivalent.
  • Circa 3 – 5 years of post qualified experience and be a member of the CIAT, or other national/international equivalent of registration
  • Familiar with current Building Planning Regulations and the application of these and similar variations internationally.
 
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Production of technically sound architectural deliverables (drawings, specification, schedules) using Revit, BIM 360 and AutoCad, in accordance with project standards and schedule.
  • Coordination of design with other disciplines.
  • Produce sketch / conceptual design for projects, including production of presentation material, under the direction of senior employees.
  • Ensure all design work conforms to standards and is buildable.
  • Contribute to the development of architectural standards and solutions.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, suppliers and internal colleagues.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, materials, and technologies to enhance project outcomes.
  • Actively promote the Company to potential clients and industry partners.
  • Actively participate in industry events to represent and promote the practice and build industry networks.
  • Liaising with Project Manager / Contract Administrator.
  • Site visits including overseas travel to provide construction, technical and architectural support in line with the agreed project scope.
