Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm

Job Summary
We are seeking an organised and reliable Admin / Purchasing Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our busy electrical wholesale branch. The successful candidate will play a key role in purchasing, supplier liaison, stock control, and general administrative duties.
 
Key Responsibilities
Purchasing & Stock Control
  • Raising purchase orders with suppliers
  • Monitoring stock levels and reordering as required
  • Liaising with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, deliveries, and returns
  • Processing delivery notes and matching invoices
  • Assisting with stock queries and discrepancies
 
Administrative Duties
  • General office administration and data entry
  • Maintaining accurate records on purchasing and stock systems
  • Answering phone calls and emails professionally
  • Supporting sales and warehouse teams with admin requirements
  • Filing and document management
 
Requirements
  • Previous experience in an admin or purchasing role (electrical wholesale or construction-related industry an advantage)
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident using computers and systems (ERP/stock systems an advantage)
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Reliable, punctual, and proactive
 
Desirable (but not essential)
  • Knowledge of electrical products or wholesale environment
  • Experience dealing with suppliers
  • Familiarity with invoicing and stock systems
