Position: Accounts Payable

Location: Kildare

Salary: Neg DOE

Our client, a well-established Civil Engineering Contractor, who provide a range of civil, utility and residential construction services across Ireland, are now looking to recruit an Accounts Payable.

This role will report to the Financial Director and will join an existing team of 3 within the Accounts Department.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Preparing weekly and monthly operational reports to present to Senior Management.
  • Supporting and carrying out various month end procedures as directed.
  • Inputting Revenue Returns on ROS system.
  • Creditor accounts reconciliation.
  • Post purchase invoices, credit notes and supplier payments on accounts system (BRC).
  • Assisting in the preparation of weekly payment runs.
  • Corresponding with suppliers, departments within the organisation regarding any enquiries and to resolve queries.
  • To assist with housekeeping duties such as filing, archiving and preparation of documents to ensure Tax and/or Statutory compliance.

Job Requirements:

  • 2+ years' experience in a similar role.
  • A relevant qualification in Accounts, Finance, Business Administration or a related field would be an advantage.
  • Ability to respond quickly, decisively, and professionally to changing requirements.
  • A desire to continually learn and improve.
  • Proficient in MS Office packages with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience with Big Red Cloud Accounts software would be an advantage.
