Job Title: Part Time - Accounts Assistant

Location: Carlow

Salary: Neg Doe

Elk Recruitment are looking to fill a Part Time permanent position for a business based in Carlow Town. Hours will be approx. 20 hours per week Monday to Friday with the possibility of full-time hours initially for training.

Responsibilities of this account assistant role include:

  • Matching of purchase orders with purchase
  • Monitoring daily communications and answering any queries
  • Data entry and bank reconciliation
  • Invoice processing and filing
  • Controlling credit and chasing debt
  • Liaising with third party providers, clients and suppliers
  • Ad Hoc duties as they arise
  • VAT and payroll knowledge desirable but not essential
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar position

Candidate Specification:

  • Experience in accounting
  • Excellent administration and organisation
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, Word &
  • Attention to details and processes, strong analytical
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic
  • Excellent communication
  • Proactive attitude, flexible and team
  • The ability to take ownership of aspects of the accounts function and take responsibility for meeting deadlines
