At Elk Recruitment, we are looking for a driven Accounts Administrator to join our client’s growing team based in Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford. You will be reporting to the Financial Controller and working closely with the accounts team.
 
Description
This position is primarily responsible for processing the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices and supporting general office administration to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable experience and further their career in accounting.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements
  • Process invoices and ensure timely payments
  • Perform bank reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance overall financial processes
  • Provide general office administration support, including reception cover when needed.
 
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years in accounts payable / office administration or similar role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel & Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
